Karen Trouten
Head of Policy & Research
As Head of Policy & Research Karen is involved in promoting many of Homes for Scotland's priorities - housing policy, planning, technical services and the environment - offering direct support to each of the active groups. Karen is responsible for the formulation of industry policies in relation to a number of important issues and responding to Government consultations.
Prior to joining Homes for Scotland in 2005, Karen worked for West Lothian Council where she undertook both quality assurance and front line roles within the housing management service.
Karen is a Social Policy graduate from Edinburgh University, has recently attained her MSc in Housing at Heriot Watt University and is a corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
