PRIVATE RENTED SECTOR CHAMPION
At the Homes for Scotland (HFS) Annual Lunch & Awards on Friday 16 May, Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced that the Scottish Government will support the HFS proposal to appoint a ‘Champion’ to spearhead the growth of new developments in the Private Rented Sector.
The proposal, which came as a result of the Building the Rented Sector in Scotland research last year, called for the two year funding of a part-time Champion, recruited and employed by HFS to deliver the recommendations contained within the Report.
HFS is now commencing the search for a suitable candidate to take the role of ‘Champion’ and would welcome any nominations and/or assistance in raising awareness of this opportunity.
For an informal chat about the opportunity please contact Philip Hogg, Chief Executive on 0131 455 8350 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Closing date for applications - Friday 25 July.
About the Role
The Private Rented Sector Champion will chair a Working Party and take forward initiatives it identifies as necessary to enable potentially viable projects to reach fruition.
Governance and Reporting
The Champion will be appointed by HFS, be based in the HFS offices in Edinburgh and report to the HFS Chief Executive.
The role of Champion will be for two years, with an interim review at the end of year one. The role is part-time (circa six days per month).
